Leavin’

November 1st, 1992

Everybody has somewhere to go. Everybody has a road to take. The signs are all around, and they can’t be ignored forever.

I thought it’d be nice for us to go away together. Well, I’m grown. I know some things you just have to do on your own.

I don’t know if I’ll have any farewells to give; after all, it’s just been me this whole time. But don’t take it the wrong way; I’m not bitter, I’m only being honest. It’s been pretty clear to me that there’s been me and just me.

I’ve got to go somewhere else. I’ve got to go where I can build a new life, a real life.

So I’m going bye-bye. I’m leaving here. I won’t be looking back, not now, not ever.

I’m going bye-bye.
